Rapala CrushCity The Mayor Soft Plastic Paddle Tail Swimbait – The Ultimate All-Season Lure for Pike, Perch & Zander

Lead the charge on UK waters with the Rapala CrushCity The Mayor, the flagship paddle-tail swimbait from Rapala’s high-performance CrushCity soft plastics range. Developed in collaboration with elite tournament angler Jacob Wheeler, The Mayor is the dependable, adaptable and fearless soft bait built to crush big pike, perch and zander in virtually any condition, season or venue.

Why The Mayor Rules UK Waters

This soft plastic swimbait delivers a subtle, natural kicking action and controlled body roll that perfectly mimics real baitfish such as roach, rudd, perch or small silver fish. Unlike overly aggressive competitors, The Mayor’s soft paddle tail starts kicking instantly — even at the slowest retrieve speeds and in the coldest water — while the taller, thinner profile creates realistic top-to-bottom flash that triggers strikes from pressured predators.

Rapala’s exclusive Smart Injection Technology™ precisely places custom combinations of colour, flake, salt and scent exactly where needed for maximum appeal and realism. The durable, non-toxic (phthalate-free) PVC/plastisol formula is dense enough to sink naturally yet soft enough for consistent action and longevity, so you get more casts and more takes from every pack.

Key Features for Serious UK Anglers

•  Subtle kicking action with natural body roll that tracks true through and across cover

•  Belly and top hook slots for easy, straight rigging and better hook-point concealment

•  Perfect on a swimbait jig head, belly-weighted swimbait hook, as a trailer, on an A-rig, or unweighted EWG

•  Available in multiple sizes to match the hatch: 2-1/2”, 3”, 3-1/2” and 4” (pack quantities typically 8 for smaller sizes, 6 for larger) — also offered in metric equivalents (7.5 cm & 10 cm)

•  Wide range of realistic colours including shad patterns, perch, green pumpkin, black/blue, Albino Pearl and more

•  Sinking design that maintains depth for deeper presentations while remaining versatile from shallow margins to deeper structure

Versatile Performance All Year Long

Leave The Mayor tied on from early spring through late autumn (and even into the colder months). Use the smaller profiles for finesse presentations targeting perch or zander around structure, drop-offs or suspended fish. Upsize to the 4” for covering water along weedbeds, reed lines or as a big-profile trailer when hunting larger pike. It excels for pike, perch and zander across canals, rivers, stillwaters and reservoirs.

Whether you’re slow-rolling a light jig head, swimming it through cover, or matching local forage with the perfect colour and size, the Rapala CrushCity The Mayor delivers the consistency, durability and fish-catching action that UK predators simply cannot resist.
