The Salmo Hornet is one of the hardest working crankbaits on the market and is highly effective for a wide variety of species in pretty much every weather condition.
The Hornet is named after the biggest European wasps and are fast, agile and very dangerous. The Hornet crankbait reflects this in its swimming action and style with a super fast and enticing wobbling action on the retrieve. It has a compact, tough body for great aerodynamics and has a wide polycarbonate lip for generating strong movements.
This lure works amazingly in upstream fishing and works great when you keep the retrieve speed slightly faster than the current speed. It also works well fished downstream. Hold the lure in place over deeper spots where you expect the larger specimens to be. For lakes and reservoirs they are great for both trolling and casting.
The Hornet is best used with light and sensitive rods, tiny snaps and swivels, and the finest line you can manage will deliver the best performance. Each lure is designed with detailed patterns and vibrant, life-like colours and fitted with premium black nickel hooks.
